August 27, 2006: The show at the Victor Pinks' house was fuckin' great! Drinking, moshing, dancing....just a good time! Not to mention Sleeping Under 47 played a fantastic set with few fuck-ups (or maybe because I was drunk), Super-mega thanks to The Victor Pinks, The Upstairs, and everyone who came out to rock! This turned out to be a surprisingly large show, and I have photos to prove it: View them pictures

Thanks again everyone...and don't miss the show at The House on September 26th with The Victor Pinks and Sleeping Under 47.

July 20, 2006: Last Friday Sleeping Under 47 played a show for Doug's birthday bash. Hope that those of you who attended had a great time. Anyway, the band has another show coming up this Sat. July 22nd in Aurora (21 and over). Check shows for details.

June 13, 2006: Much has happened since the last update: The show at The Mutiny went pretty well, and I hope that those who attended had a good time. The album had been professionally outfitted (shrink wrapped and all), and includes a special limited edition yellow & black circle sticker (those who don't buy the album get the plain ol' black & white). The site has some new pictures in photo pages 3 & 4, as well as a slight interface change and some new links. Also, Sleeping Under 47 now has an Acid Planet account, in which you can find some more songs and such. And something else happened....oh yeah. Zak got into a car wreck Monday morning! Let me tell you, it was BULLSHIT! Some asshead ran a red light while Zak was crossing an intersection and smashed up his front end (basically totaling both cars). Don't worry. Zak is fine, and walked away with some bumps & bruises, and the other guy is alive, but Zak's car (sniff); may you rest in peace. Contact Zak if you want to bother him about this, or send him a sixer.

June 5, 2006: Just finished recording the new EP "Broken Homes" at Autumnatic Studios in Montgomery, IL. 5 new songs will appear on this album, including "Riley's Song", "Jimmy", and "High on Life". All in all it's a pretty rockin' set; and you can hear them (plus some) live at The Mutiny in Chicago Friday, June 9th. Check out shows for details.

May 16, 2006: Happy Birthday Zak. On Saturday, Loukeelium played a show in Aurora, we all got drunk at Stanley's in DeKalb with Pat McDonough of Bound to Change, and proceeded to Chuck & Pat's house for Fat Tire and a beatbox breakdown. All in all, Zak was pretty fuckin' drunk, and Bob never showed up. Happy 24th you asshole!

April 29, 2006: If any bands want to appear on our links page, contact Chuck . (We assume that you would do the same.) Other than that, the band has been keeping up with practices, and got to play their first show at some dude's house in Montgomery, IL. He also has (I am told) some sweet recording equipment, in which Sleeping Under 47 hopes to record a new EP sometime soon. More details should soon be available.

April 23, 2006: As you can see, the Sleeping Under 47 website has a new face! I decided that since the band has been updated, I would do the same for the website. More details later.

March 15, 2006: OK, so Sleeping Under 47 was on hiatus for a while, what with Pat's "schooling", Zak's "getting married", and Chet's "laziness". But not to worry you militant fucks, because WE'RE BACK! After a year or two of procrastinating, the album is finally done, and for sale. (Contact Zak about that). Each CD is $5 and comes with a free sticker! Since Pat is "busy with school & unprotected sex", he has withdrawn as bassist for the group. Replacing him is a youthful young sprite by the name of Bob Clark. So anyway, new material is in the works, and the band expects to play shows around late April. Be forewarned that the band has a new sound, and will be writing no more Hippie-Jamz. Just some ol' fashon'd in-your-mamma's-face Rock 'n Fuckin'-Roll! So keep your radio dial on "OFF", and keep your ears open for word of new stuff. Peace out, mo muggas; it's good to be back!
